Small by design
WALNC focuses on residential water questions: private wells, springs, city water, existing test results, and the practical next step. Our job is to help local people understand their water without making the process more complicated than it needs to be.
Start with the question
We first look at the water source, what changed, what you are noticing, and what you actually need to know.
Test when it helps
More testing is not automatically better. We try to match the testing to the question and use existing reports when they already answer it.
Explain the result
A report is only useful if you understand what it says. We explain results in plain language and help identify sensible follow-up.
Local water, local context
Western North Carolina water can vary from one property to the next. Wells, springs, municipal systems, plumbing, weather, geology, and existing equipment can all change what a useful test looks like.

WALNC is affiliated with Asheville-based H2O Easy Filtration. Testing through WALNC does not require purchasing treatment or equipment. If testing shows that treatment may be useful, you may choose H2O Easy or any provider you prefer.
